PRAISING THE LORD FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
During the week of July 26-30, the RCC campus was filled with hundreds of joyous and excited children participating in Vacation Bible School 2021. This year’s theme was “Destination Dig” and the key verse was Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Close to 400 children participated and were well taken care of by over 150 volunteers. From the welcome, to the adventures in Missions, to singing and dancing, to games on the grass, to the Gospel message proclaimed at the end of the week, the children learned that they are God’s treasure and He wants a personal relationship with each one of them. During the close of the week, 71 children made a first-time decision to place their trust and faith in Jesus and another 32 kids rededicated their lives to following Jesus. All praise, honor and glory be given to our Lord Jesus Christ.
THANKFUL FOR PROMISE KEEPERS 2021
RCC was a satellite host site for the Promise Keepers 2021 event during the weekend of July 16-17. 200 men participated in the event at RCC and were encouraged, challenged and moved to be men of faith who will stand for Jesus in their homes, workplaces, and churches. Continue to pray for the men of our church to accept the mantle of leadership that has been given them by God and to lead under His authority and guidance.
REJOICING IN THE SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIP TO ALBANIA
Five of our RCC people had the privilege of serving with CRU on a short-term mission trip to Albania from July 15-26. The team helped put on a leadership conference for 200 Albanian young professionals. The CRU team utilized Biblical truths and applications to teach and reinforce leadership skills and principles. The highlight of the week-long conference was the small group breakout sessions, where Biblically based questions were asked, personal testimonies were given, leadership principles from Scripture were reinforced, and the Gospel message was presented. Praise the Lord that 23 Albanians made first-time decisions to trust Jesus as their Savior and Lord. You are all invited to attend a debrief from the team concerning the trip on Sunday, August 29 at 6:30pm in the Community Center.
